This wine is 100% Corvina - the grape that is known for its use in one of Italy's most famous wines, Amarone. It comes from the area near Verona (northeast Italy near Venice), the same area made famous by the Shakespearean story of star-crossed, young lovers Romeo and Juliet. This wine has a ruby red color and garnet notes. On the palate you will get flavors of ripe red fruit like cherries, licorice and sweet spices.
